Learning Platforms

Access the combined training stack from one front page.

The main site now acts as the single launch point for the modern Nexus experience, the legacy training platform, and the Moodle delivery environment.

Primary Experience

Nexus academy and public platform

Start here for the main website, course discovery, sign-up flow, learner portal, and the branded navigation layer that ties the stack together.

  • Course catalog, public pages, student portal, and admin tools stay in one app.
  • This is the part you can deploy directly to Railway from this repository.
Legacy Platform

Keep the older training experience available

The original training platform remains bundled inside this app so existing learners or reviewers can still enter it from the homepage without a separate deployment.

  • Served from the same Railway deployment through the `/legacy` entry point.
  • Useful while you transition content and users into the newer flow.
Moodle LMS

Jump into Moodle from the same homepage

Moodle remains the LMS layer for enrollments, quizzes, completions, and grading, with a stable `/moodle` entry point on this site.

  • Until Moodle is configured, `/moodle` falls back to the Moodle operations page.
  • Use this while keeping the public-facing brand and navigation in the main app.
Who We Are

A Nexus of Knowledge, Practice & Accountability

Nexus Policy & Rights Centre is an independent private organisation working at the intersection of human rights research, professional training and strategic advocacy. It was built to close the gap between classroom theory and the operational realities of rights work.

We produce evidence-based policy analysis, train aspiring and serving practitioners through field-facing curricula, and engage governments, UN entities and civil society to advance accountability, protection of civilians and the rule of law.

🔬

Research & Policy

Generating evidence-based analysis on conflict, accountability and civilian protection.

🎓

Training & Capacity

Practitioner-designed courses bridging the academy and the field.

📢

Advocacy & Engagement

Connecting practitioners, institutions and communities to amplify human rights impact.

💡

Innovation & Technology

Harnessing OSINT, AI and data systems for smarter human rights monitoring.

Our Mission
To equip human rights professionals with the knowledge, skills and networks to hold power to account wherever violations occur.
Our Vision
A world where every community has access to trained, principled human rights defenders and where accountability is the rule rather than the exception.
  • Independence: Free from governmental and donor interference in our analysis and positions.
  • Integrity: Every word we teach, write or advocate must be accurate, verifiable and ethically grounded.
  • Practicality: Theory serves practice and our training is designed by people who have done the work.
  • Inclusion: We are committed to geographic, gender and disciplinary diversity across our programmes.
  • Innovation: We embrace responsible technology, including OSINT, AI and data, as tools of accountability.

Why NPRC

Why This Site and Academy Feel Different

🎯

Practitioner-Led Curriculum

Every module is shaped by people who have actually done the work in UN missions, OHCHR presences, NGOs, accountability mechanisms and field-facing human rights teams.

🌍

Real-World Case Studies

The academy is built around real mission, protection and accountability scenarios rather than abstract lecture material, so participants learn how judgment works in practice.

🧑‍🏫

Mentorship & Career Support

Participants get clearer pathways into applications, interviews and institutional positioning through guidance that is explicitly designed for career traction.

📡

Technology & OSINT Integration

We do not treat digital methods as optional extras. Monitoring, verification, OSINT, AI-assisted analysis and information management are integrated into the learning model.

🌐

Institutional Breadth

Learners understand how UN entities, governments, NGOs, regional bodies, courts, donors and local actors interact in real operational settings.

🤝

Community That Outlasts the Course

The goal is not only course completion. It is long-term belonging to a serious practitioner community that supports peer learning, collaboration and next-step opportunities.
